Unicycle Shop - by Lisa Anne Auerbach

Unicycle Shop happened in Joshua Tree, California on May 12-13, 2007 as part of the High Desert Test Sites. A shop was constructed and unicycles were rented at the rate of ten cents an hour. There were 19 different unicycles that were collected and then made available for rental.

The book, 150 black and white pictures, is for the most part, images from the weekend that the Unicycle Shop was open; images of people riding, attempting to ride, holding on before riding or falling off of unicycles. There is some text describing the weekend project and a short essay by Auerbach on her history with unicycles. The book is 140 x 225 mm in size, with a paperback cover that is in color with a glossy finish. The book is perfect bound. The interior pages are black and white.

The book was designed by Auerbach and printed by onestar press in Paris, France. The book is in an edition of 250 copies only. Ours are signed by the artist.
